This wine is produced from 50 year old vines on a small family estate located in the heart of Asti, in Italy’s Piedmonte region. Low yields from these old vines give this wine very good depth and concentration. Fermentation and aging are done entirely in stainless steel, with no oak influence. Bright red in color, the wine shows aromas of red berries with a mineral touch. It has the classic Asti Barbera profile of bright raspberry & cranberry flavors with a very long finish. Barbera is the true Piedmontese ‘wine of the people’ and goes great with pizza, pasta, meats and cheeses.
