In my view, the 2010 Alchemist 22 is the wine that seems to gain the most through the extended time in barrel, as the tannins have an element of polish that isn’t found in the regular bottling. Perfumed aromatics are woven throughout an expressive core of dark red fruit, licorice, tar and mint. The overall impression is one of seamless beauty and tons of promise. This is a fabulous showing from Booker and proprietor Eric Jensen. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019.

 Wine Advocate 94-96

Firm and dense, very tight and compact, with concentrated yet juicy dried currant, cedar, mineral and graphite framed by chewy tannins. Shows excellent length and focus. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2022. 343 cases made.
