1975-1982 Kenwood Artist Series 'Naked Lady' Colle Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma California
$2,000.00 USD
*Collector's Item* David Lance Goines' painting "Reclining Nude in Vineyard," also known as the "Naked Lady" label, marks the first bottling of Kenwood's Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon. The label, however, was deemed "obscene and indecent" by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and pulled. It was replaced by the artist's much less risque drawing of the rolling Sonoma hillsides. The wine inside is made entirely from Alexander Valley fruit, and is noted by the winery of having persistent ripe berry aromas and flavors at its core. Aged in small oak barrels.
