Tasting Notes
Wines from Serralunga are going from strength to strength, regularly appearing in the upper echelons of my scoring. Ettore Germano is one such cellar producing wines that reflect the intensity and depth of flavour found from these outstanding vineyards. Top of the totem pole in terms of pricing but a wine that is from a great vineyard, in a great year and that, with patience, will be well worth experiencing at least once.

Bright ruby colour with garnet edges. An expressive bouquet offers fresh and ripe red cherry and raspberry fruits, fennel and a sprinkling of fragrant herbs, some floral notes and exotic spice adding lift, exceptional definition and purity. The very youthful palate is still slightly nervy, concentrated fruit flavours flowing along a line of taut, somewhat prominent acidity, peppery and spicy elements adding piquancy, chewy yet supple and fleshy tannins drawing through to a very long and intense finish. This is still a pup but everything is there for a long and glorious future.
