"With an eye-popping pH of 3.11 (it's always the lowest in the cellar), Moreau's 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers unwinds in the glass with aromas of citrus zest, pear and freshly baked bread framed by a discreet touch of reduction. Medium to full-bodied, taut and incisive, it's concentrated and tightly wound, with fine depth at the core and a long, mouthwatering finish."

"The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers 1er Cru went through a very long alcoholic fermentation. It is more floral on the nose with yellow flowers and light grass clipping scents intertwined with the citrus fruit. The palate is fresh and citric on the entry. Racy acidity here veins of bitter lemon towards the chalky livewire finish that cries out for some accompanying fruits de mer. The pH of 3.11 really drives this along. Excellent. "

"Cool and restrained if exceptionally pretty aromas of just sliced green apple are nuanced by an abundance of citrus nuances plus a whiff of rosemary oil. The sleeker but not denser medium weight flavors possess a really lovely mouthfeel as well as notably better complexity on the lingering and wonderfully refreshing finale. This is one to check out."
