Red Wine

2018 Aphros Ouranos Red Vinho Verde Portugal

$39.99 USD

Winemaker Notes
Ouranos is the ancient God of the Skies in Greek Mythology. The name was chosen in allusion to the extreme levity of this wine that makes us feel as if we are floating in the air.

Press
Named after the Sky God ‘for its light, ethereal qualities,’ unfiltered, Ouranus has a hazy plum hue, but lovely clarity and lift. Whole bunch ferment (25%) imparts clove, anise and orange peel notes to its sweet, soft plum and frangipane palate. Lingering, with a lick of tannin, gently sluicing acidity and a grounding touch of earth. Aged in chestnut barrels.

Rated 93 Points Decanter
