TASTING NOTES
The Zinfandel Dusi Vineyard is such a classic expression of Zinfandel from Paso Robles. Rich and layered in the glass, the Dusi is exuberant but also remarkably on its feet for a wine with so much natural intensity. Sweet pipe tobacco, cedar, mint and dried flowers add striking layers of aromatic nuance to a core of Zinfandel fruit.

HISTORY
The Dusi vineyard was planted by Dante Dusi in 1945 and it is farmed by his family to this day. The vines are head-trained and dry-farmed, planted in soil that is mostly alluvial with some very large rocks. Like our other vineyards in the area, Dusi is on the west side of Paso Robles, in the cool Templeton Gap sub-AVA.

"The 2021 Zinfandel Dusi Vineyard is a touch rubbery to begin, before blossoming to scents of red cherry, forest floor and dried mint. The medium-bodied palate is pleasantly rustic, with gently chewy tannins and a long finish loaded with plummy fruit. Give it a couple of hours in a decanter."
