Rated 93 Points Wine Spectator
Firm, rich and plush, offering a complex mix of loamy currant, mineral, mocha and dusty berry. Intense, concentrated, focused and balanced, this has a tight, focused aftertaste, with flavors that run deep. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

Rated 92 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2004 Metisse has tightened up since bottling, but it reveals medium to full body as well as a lovely, pure perfume of creme de cassis, white chocolate, black cherries, spice, and subtle background oak (about 75% new French barrels are utilized). Made from fruit purchased from vineyards owned by Jim and Stephanie Gamble as well as the well-known viticulturist, David Abreu, it should drink beautifully for 15 or more years.
