Rated 94 points Vinous
The 2010 Rompecabezas is a wine of notable concentration, power and depth. A striking wine, the 2010 impresses for its dense, totally primary fruit. The aromatics have yet to fully develop in a full-bodied red that is clearly endowed with superb textural finesse and elegance. With time in the glass hints of sage, rosemary and dark red fruit begin to emerge, but only with great reluctance. The 2010 is 37% Grenache, 33% Mourvedre and 30% Syrah, done with 20% whole clusters and aged in a combination of neutral oak and concrete. Today, it is drop-dead gorgeous. (AG)

Rich and distinctive, with vivid dark berry, sour cherry and red plum flavors that are pure, intense and focused, ending with subtle earth and spicy floral scents. (JL)
