Terroir located on the southern slopes of Vienne with a south/south-east exposure, a clay-limestone soil and facing the Côte-Rôtie vineyard. The grapes come from the young vines of the parcel.

Grape variety 100% Syrah.

Vinification and maturation
The vinification is similar to the Côte-Rôtie and hand harvested.The ageing is done exclusively in old barrels from 2 to 5 years old during 9 to 18 months.

Character
The Syrah d'Auguste is a very fruity and supple wine to drink when young. It offers aromas of red fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry) and goes perfectly with grilled meat.
