2021 Aia Vecchia Lagone Toscana IGT, Tuscany, Italy

$19.99 USD

Winemaker Notes
In the glass, the wine is deep ruby with purple hues. On the nose, the wine is delicate with notes of cherry, vanilla, raw beef and herbs. On the palate, it is dry, structured and elegant with flavors of plum, ripe cherries, wild berries and a hint of spice, followed by a lengthy and smooth finish that begs for food.

This wine is very versatile and would pair well with both red and white meats, various pasta dishes and hard cheeses.

The 2019 Lagone is a soft, fruity Maremma red to drink now and over the next handful of years. A burst of sweet red berry fruit, cinnamon, rose petal and new leather lends energy to this tasty, mid-weight red. Best of all, the 2019 shoud be a terrific value.

The 2019 Lagone is an incredible value, packed with black cherry, smoky earth, and cedar. It is medium to full-bodied with juicy black fruit upfront, a silky mouthfeel, and a clean and lifted finish. Its notes of black plum and a bit of oak spice make for a great introduction to the wines of the region at a great price, and it is perfect for drinking now or over the next few years.
