2021 J.K. Carriere Vespidae Pinot Noir Willamette Valley USA - 375ml Half Bottle

$28.99 USD

Winemaker Notes
J.K. Carriere Vespidae Pinot Noir is garnet in color. The nose is super effusive cherry, hibiscus, grilled meat, tan spice and cracked pepper. The flavors are massive and present as a cherry and peach pie with a one-minute too brown crust. The structure is quietly lurking, but unobtrusive.

Notes of juicy raspberries and kirsch with ground spices, dried orange peel and dried herbs. Medium-bodied with crunchy, chalky tannins and vivid acidity, giving it tone and structure. Flavorful finish.

Rated 92 Points Jeb Dunnuck
Dark ruby with a light purple tinge, the 2021 Pinot Noir Vespidae is floral and inviting, with ripe, wild black raspberry coulis, violets, and moss-covered earth. Medium to full-bodied, it has a more focused feel, with ripe tannins, a stony mouthfeel, a nice balance of earthy texture and pure, ripe, meaty fruit, with a touch of toasty incense on the finish.
