Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey County Cork, Ireland

$79.99 USD

Distillers Notes
Redbreast has already become the go-to choice for serious Irish whiskey fans, but the new cask strength version only improves upon a malt that was already considered perfect. The extra proof also allows rocks drinkers to cool down the malt without completely watering down the flavor. Supply will be limited and demand has been through the roof so far. We've had folks asking about this for months, so don't hesitate. The price is fantastic and the quality is superb. Is it the best Irish whiskey ever?

An easy-drinking cask-strength whiskey, the nose has an equal balance between fruit and spice, as red apple and bright cherry meet Chinese five spice, savory undertones, and salted nuts. This has big, chewy sherry notes; it’s quite nutty, and the spice starts building early on. Hold out till the end for black cherry, toffee, and burnt fruitcake, with a finish of autumnal fruits, menthol, and aniseed.

Straight up, this cask-strength whiskey is crazy hot, almost too hot to drink. But it shines as a base for mixed drinks, as its honeyed Sherry scent and mix of malty apple and faintly smoky flavors stand up to significant dilution.
